Lady of Death

Dear lady of death seized him,
Blade murder for queenly warrior
She wrought evil
Bride haughty
Wisely woke, grim with candle,
Slayer of clansmen;
Alive, haste in days fated  with slaughter.
Unhallowed, wrathful dawning day
Gone to rest– sorrow.
The sea spake–
“I claim thou, chillest queen!”
Fathomless terror
Uttered loathsome heaven!

  1. You always make your papers/blog/reports so gloomy. :) not that its a bad thing just would like to see a more upbeat story. :P

  2. I didn't do it on purpose, I just "found" it that way. ;)

  3. I love this poem!
And I tend to prefer gloomy, but maybe that is just the dark comic in me...

I really love the lines, "The sea spake–
“I claim thou, chillest queen!” That is so powerful and chilling. It is like getting goosebumps. And the next line, "Fathomless terror" is great too. I feel like that could even be the title of another short story or poem. I just love those lines.

    Great work.

  4. Thank you! I was trying to illistrate the her jumping into the ocean after she killed her husband.

I'm not sure where the plot came from, but I really like the way it turned out.

  6. This is really good. Like Mason said, pretty dark. It's really great. It took me a minute to realize she had killed her husband though. ha
